Programmes which may encourage or incite the commission of crime or even lead to disorder must not be shown in TV or radio. Descriptions or demonstrations should not be broadcast only if editorially justified. Unless there is a public interest no promise or payment should be made to any person who has confessed his/her crimes or that is a convicted. Finally, broadcasters should not broadcast any material which can cause harm or lead to hijack or kidnapping.

People responsible for making the programmes and broadcasters should, usually, be fair to future contributors. When someone is invited to be a part of a programme, they should be told what the programme is all about and what is expected from them. The person in matter should also be aware of any changes to the programme and clear information must be given. When a contributor is under age, the consent should be obtained from the guardian. Contributions should be represented in a fair way, when a programme is edited and guarantees given to the contributors should be honoured. Also, the re-use of material does not bring up unfairness even if it is other person’s work.
Before the transmission of a factual programme, programmes verifying past events included, broadcasters should take moderated care to satisfy themselves that:
“material facts have not been presented, disregarded or omitted in a way that is unfair to an individual or organization; and
anyone whose omission could be unfair to an individual or organization has been offered an opportunity to contribute.”
If someone chooses not to make any comment or does not wishes to appear the decision should be respected, and then the broadcast should make clear that the person in matter has chosen not to appear.
