I would like to be considered for the internship position offered at varying NIH research labs during the summer. I learned of this wonderful opportunity through friends who have heard of this internship and shared it with me.

I have great focus and organization skills that have aided me in achieving a strong academic record at High School and reflect my dedication and devotion to succeeding at the task at hand. Challenging courses in the math and science areas have provided me with a broad range of various experiences as well as analytical problem solving abilities and research skills. The exposure to various sciences has piqued my interests in certain areas that I would like to research during the internship in order to learn more about them.

Through classes such as Chemistry AP, I have acquired laboratory safety, techniques, and procedures, as well as interest and continued motivation in the sciences. I have developed a sense of leadership through challenging positions that require me to have the ability to work with others, ability to work in high pressure environments, and useful personal skills. Beginning this internship, I hope to begin my preparation for an undergraduate study in the field of science followed by a medical to study and give back to society with my knowledge and experience.
