Day at the Motel
From far away, it looks like an old building that has been victim of many earthquakes. It looked fragile. As you get closer, it looks like it is about fall any minute. There are some big holes and few small holes in the building. In the back of the main building, there are so many gangs signs painted on the wall in different colors. It looks like somebody took big rainbows from the sky and shrinked those rainbows down and stuck those on the wall. It is three buildings down the signal light. Name is “Norwalk Motel”. By the name anybody can imagine in what city this motel is. Where this motel was located, it wasn’t the safest and the best area. It was known mostly for gang violence, street fighting and drugs.
As I walked in, the first thing I saw was the small window, closed. I knocked on the window, nobody came to the window. I knocked again and again, but no answer. Then I saw somebody passing by, I asked him, “why isn’t anybody answering” and he told me that it was an old office window. Nobody lived there at the moment. The old office was located straight from the entrance. Right next to the old office window, to the left of the window, saw stairs to go to the second floor of the building. The stairs were round. Right next to stairs, there was a coke machine located which was out of order. On the right hand side of the entrance, there was the other window, which was the current office. “Please ring the bell”, there was a sign on the window. I rang the bell on the window. Couple of seconds later, manager, Ken, came to the window. He showed me the door right next to the window in the corner, and told me to wait there. He opened the door and welcomed me. We went to the office, no place to sit. There were so many files full of papers everywhere. In one corner, there was a computer to operate the cameras under the desk. Over the desk on the wall,...
