From time to time the title “Immigration” has been a highly debatable topic over a majority of concerns and issues. This term is more or less commonly used and connected to the United States than any other country in the world; mainly because it houses the highest number of immigrants of the world. Let me first talk about the meaning of the term immigration. According to Dictionary.com, “Immigration is used as a noun which means the act of immigrating and its intransitive verb gives the meaning - to enter and settle in a country or region to which one is not native”. You will be an immigrant if you crossed an international political border, whether by land, water, or air, or a foreigner who legally entered a country for the purpose of permanent residence.
Is immigration of a large crowd an issue to many countries? One might first think twice before drawing upon an answer to this question. In my opinion I would first state that Immigration can have totally different viewpoints form person to person and from country to country. The whole idea is that it can have diverse explanations or meanings that govern it through various perspectives and for the most part many might not be able to give a convincing meaning to it. Often the term Immigration is misused by certain people. The reason why I say this is because people still find it difficult to differentiate the meaning of – ‘migrate and immigrate’. According to Dictionary.com, “Migrate – is to shift from one country, region, or place to another, while Immigrate – is to enter and settle in a country or region to which one is not native”. Migration doesn’t include crossing of and international political border but immigration does. Governments have strict laws when it comes to immigration.
