Barak Obama
If I were to vote for the upcoming presidential election I would vote for Barak Obama. As a 17 year old male it is critical that I exercise my right to vote in the upcoming election. As Thomas Jefferson points out “The rational and peacable instrument of reform, the suffrage of the people. " I would vote for Barak Obama because I think he change the world for the better. This well -rounded individual possesses similar views on many different issues relevant in today’s society. I would vote for Barak Obama because of his beliefs on energy and oil, war and peace, and several social issues such as healthcare.
Today our nation is confronted by two major energy challenges global climate change and our dependence on foreign oil both of which stem from our current dependence on fossil fuels for energy. Obama would implement an economy wide cap and trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to the level recommended by top scientists to avoid calamitous impacts. Barak does not oppose all wars, but opposes to the war in Iraq. Obama would spread peace in the Middle East by calling for a "gradual and substantial" reduction of US forces. Barak would address education by adding a sense of urgency about improving education system. Under his term in office he would institute free public college for any student with B-average. Obama would drastically improve health care through his belief that health care is a right and not a privilege for the few. Barak Obama proposes many great solutions to many problems in our world today.

I would vote for Barak Obama because his views reflect mine. I believe that his intelligent solutions to important problems can help everyone in the United States and the world. I would vote for Barak Obama because of his beliefs on energy and oil, war and peace, and several social issues such as healthcare. Hopefully Barak Obama can make the world a better place.
