The Ramones are often referred to as the first punk rock band. They were successful in both the U.S. and the U.K. accomplishing more then just being musicians. The Ramones rocked the U.S. and U.K. from 1974-1996 playing their last show with the Lollapalooza music festival. Starting off in Forest Hills, Queens in NY the Ramones quickly gained the respect of thousands across the U.S. and U.K.
Throughout their active time period the Ramones accomplished more than most musician ever have or ever will accomplish.
