The people living in different parts of United States have a different perception of how one should behave, the acts that are considered unusual as disrespectful. Some of the states are very different that some people refer to it a whole new country. California is known to be one of the few that is very diverse with people of different backgrounds, and those people follow certain beliefs, practices and ethics of what they consider to morally right or wrong. There are several things that Californian’s consider to be inappropriate such as smoking in the non-smoking zone or the behavior towards homosexuality. Furthermore, on a different subject, California is also known to grow different vegetation compared to many of other states.
In California, homosexuality and gay marriages are common and accepted in majority of the regions of the state. There are also laws that protect the gays and the lesbians from being treated unfairly. In addition, the laws protect any discriminatory bias against gender or sexual orientation. On the other hand, in the eastern part of United States, there are states that do not allow gay marriages at all and there are no protection laws. Furthermore, the people of California also find certain types of behavior to be disrespectful and rude. Due to these reasons, there are “No Smoking Zones” laid out in malls, parking lots, colleges and universities, etc. On the other hand, in the state of Nevada, smoking is a major issue that one has to deal with. It may be due to the fact that there are many casinos in that state, and smoking is a very common routine for many of the people in that state.
