Introduction
The writer of this paper chooses to write about alcoholism, as she realized how close it is to her life. The writer realized how she chooses to ignore the fact that the person closets to her, has a serious problem, and that it hard for her to admit. I find myself denying that there is a problem, I feel as if I choose to close my eyes and hope that it would go away.
As the writer began her paper I also realized that alcoholism is a lot larger of a problem, in the United States than I ever had realized. I had not realized how many people are affected by alcohol and its effects that it has on all of us. As my research went on further I began to question why this is legal. Why are we are a country letting the 3rd most leading killer in our country remain so easily available to ourselves to carry on with harm.
I hope that after reading this paper, that there is a little bit more awareness brought to someone and possibly helps in there later choice in taking that next drink, I know for myself that I was an occasional social drinker, I would think that it was ok, now I choose not to drink at all, I feel that it is to bothersome and I choose to try to not buy into something that is so life threating.
