Technological Literacy
Technological literacy is a very important subject today. I remember about 10 years ago my family did not have a computer, and I know that my family was not alone. There has been a boom in technology over the past 15 years. Now it seems that almost every family I know has at least one computer. Now, my family has 4 computers, 2 laptops and 2 desktops. Computers are such a large part of everyones everyday life. We use them at work, school, grocery checkout lines, and people even carry them in their pockets! This boom in the computer world will cause the people of every generation to become literate in a new language, people will need to be computer literate.

The computer, as much of a part of our lives today, is only going to get even more important and used more in our everyday lives. This is why it is one-hundred percent necessary that every young child gets to be literate in computers at a young age, perhaps starting in the early grades of primary school. I think that I was not as prepared as I should have been with computers coming out of grade school. I think that the teachers should include more computer assignments at younger ages. I can not stress enough the importance of the computer in everyday life in college and in everyday life at work. This is why everyone should have to learn how to be computer literate. The most important thing about computers is that the the business of them and the business of the internet and all is a multi-billion dollar industry. Computers also offer many jobs to people, jobs like: gaming, engineering, stock traders, and so on. Almost every job out there uses a computer.

Not only is it important that kids learn this computer literacy, it is just as important that older people learn it too. I know that my mother, who is a barber by trade, 2 years ago had no idea how to even turn on the computer, now however, I have taught her how to do everything...
