Time management skills are especially important for students. Managing your time will be an important part of your success as a student. Some important elements of time management include prioritizing, creating a plan, scheduling time to study, establishing routines, learning to delegate, and setting realistic goals.
You have a friend that just started back to school to complete her bachelor’s degree. She is worried that she will not have enough time in her already busy days to complete the reading assignments and written assignments. What advice would you give her? Identify at least two elements of time management and discuss how she could use them to help manage her time better.
You must create one initial post (due Day 3) and at least two responses (due Day 7), for a minimum of three posts for this discussion.
TIP: Start your response with an introduction to the advice that you would give your friend. Then clearly identify two elements of time management and provide details on how your friend could use these to help manage her time. Conclude your post with why you think the tips you provided would be helpful.
My advice to a friend would be to sit down with her and create a plan. Then discuss and make a list of her daily activities. Talk about how important this degree will be for her financially and educationally. Once she sees establishes a routine and understands how important these tasks are and how it will pay off in the end financially she would then make it a priority to complete the reading and assignments that will be due.
Solution: After her already busy day and since working fulltime she will do her reading and assignments during her lunchtime breaks!
Note: Personally I have never been big on words because my vocabulary was small during my childhood. I always just slid by barely making and passing classes. I do have to comment that already these past two discussions have had to made me think and learn...
