Global warming and its impact on Australia
Global warming has hit the world very hard and especially Australia. About 20 years ago people weren’t very concerned about this issue and let it slip away. Now twenty years down the track global warming has become so overloaded that many countries are finding it hard to cope. One of these countries is young Australia. Global warming has impacted Australia a lot. Areas of Australia are now experiencing droughts and bushfires where they never used to occur. However, although it can’t be stopped completely, the people of Australia and the rest of the world can play its part it slowing it down. In many occasions it has proven successful for example Earth hour, where many countries participated to switch off lights for one hour and the carbon footprint and so on. Everybody has to pull their weight if global warming is to slow down, whether it is from taking shorter showers to driving less and so on.
Global warming is of major concern not only to Australian’s but to people living in all over the world. However the people with most concerns of global warming are the primary industry workers for example, all the farmers, wheat growers, crop irrigators, fruit and vegetables growers and so on. These people are suffering a lot due to global warming. Here in Australia global warming has caused enormous problems for them, in fact it has caused so many problems that some families have had to sell or even abandon their farms to live somewhere else, where it is cheaper. Another industry which is of much concern, are the electricity companies, mining companies and so on. There is a lot of controversy about how people should use alternative energy. No doubt about it that everybody all over the world should convert to one form of alternative energy or another but it’s the cost. Global warming raises a lot of concern.
