ABSTRACT
Industrial machineries once set, if not interrupted, can perform the same function to an end. But human labour unlike machines do not have uniform   productivity at all times. Therefore an inividual productivity can be manipulated depending on the management strategies employed which consider human needs and their inner drives. This means that individual performance in any assigned task   depends on the belief that the outcome will satisfy his/her needs or wants. The broad aim of the research was therefore to determine the factors that affect workers’ motivation in a private sector agribussiness organisation. It was found that most workers of Sunseed Nigeria Plc Zaria were satisfied with most of the company’s motivational incentives, which had positive impact on job their performances. Majority of the employees however expressed high level of dissatisfaction with job security. It was recommended that employers’ policy of sacking workers without due process be reviewed.

1 INTRODUCTION
Evidently less considered but definitely one of the main constraints to productivity in most organizational settings is the ability for optimum use of human resources employed. The central concern of production economists is the application of economic principles in optimum use of production resources as land, labour, capital and management. Even though each of these resources is very vital in every production process, an economic goal of “optimization” is best achieved with proper and efficient development and utilization of human management.
