The impact of American culture on other countries is a huge part of globalization. Everything from American T.V show, American movies, American music, and American fast food finds its way to other countries. The American culture cannot take all the credit for globalization; other countries also have an impact on American culture. It is a two way system we take from other countries what other countries take from us.
Some of the things that have impacted American culture; would be Japans anime most of the modern day cartoons are based from Japans anime. A lot of the time the shows are directly from Japan with English translation. The food that American eat comes from a wide range of cultures we add our twist to the food but the basic recipe originated somewhere else. One of the big ones I would consider would be Mexican food from our neighbors Mexico. You can always find a good Mexican food joint just about anywhere if not there always a Taco Bell the American version for Mexican food.
American culture also has a big impact on other cultures. Fast food such as McDonalds can be found in many countries. Just like American’s have their twist on Mexican food other countries have a twist on ours. At a McDonalds in Japan you will find all the American favorites such as the Big Mac but you will also find Curry Rice thus Japanese putting their twist on our food. You can always find a good American movie playing in a movie theater in Japan. The movie will be in English with Japanese sub titling. You can also find Lil John an American rapper playing in a night club down south in Mexico or in Japan and many other countries.
As far as the argument that American culture is the forefront of globalization I would agree to a cretin extent. I would view it as every culture is taking cretin things from all the other cultures. I would also agree that you can find a large amount of American culture in mostly every other culture. The last thing to remember...
