Causes of Stress
As we know, stress is defined by Hans Selye, a recognized expert in the field, as a “nonspecific response of the body to a demand”. This ways of response can be really dangerous because it increase the risk of possible diseases such as heart attack and hypertension. Stress can also contribute on having prohibited addictions. According to the National Health Interview Survey, “75% of the general population experiences at least some stress every two weeks”. There are three main causes of stress which are the following: major life changes, daily hassles and demands and internal causes.
Major life changes are one of the three causes of stress. They include changes such as, divorce that cause to suffer from depression, sadness and loneliness. Planned pregnancy is another change that is positive but in a certain way can bring you inpatience and worries. Medical changes such as, diagnosis of cancer can make you feel really sad and take away all of your hopes and your happiness. All of this changes cause a lot of stress that keep you away from reality and does not let you react in a certain way to deal with these stressors.
Another cause of stress is the daily hassles and demands in your surroundings, in the family, in a relationship and also at work. This hassles and demands provide a heavy environment that makes you feel uncomfortable. Both family and work hassles are very common causing stress in people at anytime, anywhere. People usually get in trouble at work and in their families for reasons without sense. So, they try to resolve these problems in a negative way like fighting or with verbal aggression that cause stress.
The most important cause of stress is the internal causes. They drive you to a level of severe stress that is difficult to control. Internal causes such as, worries about work, school, lack of money, bad grades, bills or and...
