THE BEATLES
The Beatles are one of the most powerful, famous and influential bands in Rock and Roll history. Through their ten years of existence and nineteen albums, they stretched pop music to its boundaries producing some of the best music from their generation. Their music has spoken not only to its own time but also every generation .They remain more widely known than any other band of the rock era. The Beatles band was formed in 1960. The Beatles include George Harrison, John Lennon (1940-1980), Paul McCartney and Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr). All of the Beatles were born and raised in Liverpool, England. John Lennon was considered as the leader of the band. George Harrison was the lead guitarist. John Lennon was a song writer, one of the two lead singers and the rhythm guitarist. Paul McCartney was a song writer, one of the two lead singers and bassist. Ringo Starr played the drums.
When they first began playing, the main influence inside the band was John Lennon who had an ability to compose songs at a moments notice with an inspiration that others missed. He pushed the members of the band during their touring years and was able to achieve the best. The band began playing in a music hall style that is very effective for the audiences but they were lacking on their albums. John Lennon's first band was called the Quarrymen but none of the three Beatles were in this band. Paul joined the group in 1957 and Harrison joined in 1958. They played with the bass guitarist Sut Sutcliffe and the drummer Pete Best. Sutcliffe left in 1961 and Ringo Starr joined the band. Pete Best was asked to leave the band on April 16, 1962 because he was considered as the Beatles undisputed sex symbol.
The Beatles were discovered on November 9, 1961 by Brian Epstein, a manager of a record store in Liverpool as well as a former British Army soldier. The Beatles...
