The Public Use
Despite what many may think, you don't need a car to get around. If you’re trying to get from one point to another, there is a faster way in getting there, it’s called public transportation. There are different types of public transportation; we have buses, trains and ferries. Almost every city offers one type of public transit in there community. Using public transportation not only saves you gas and money, but it also helps out the environment.
As the gasoline prices are rising dramatically high, it is even better to travel by bus now. Using public transportation will help save the gas that is left on the earth and will also save you gas money. If people are not spending money on gas, then they are out spending money on other things therefore, stimulating the economy. It also reduces our dependency on foreign oil and the gas prices might be lowered because the supply would be too high and they would have to lower the prices to get people to buy it.
Carpooling is another option that commuter tend to use. Anything you can do to save from putting more traffic congestion on the road the better. When fewer cars are running on the roads, fewer pollutants are being emitted into the atmosphere. This can decrease the chances of acid rain, global warming, and the creation of smog, thus making our world a cleaner place to live in. Rosenberg from the Examiner wrote:
“I think people are becoming more concerned about the environment and willing to take that extra step and take public transit.”
Statistics have shown that one person is being killed everyday in the United States as a result of a car accident, and often the people who are killed are not the people who cause the accident. It is said that traveling by buses is safer than driving a car.
One benefit using public transportation over personal is less pollution in the air because there will be less gas used. The less fossil fuel that we burn...
