Outcome 2: Analyze the management of change in a business

The relevance to change management in a large scale organizations is management is required to respond quickly to an increasing range of forces driving change. These forces and pressures that drive change can arise internally and externally of an organization. The increased speed of change is a result of developments in technology, communications and competition. Change requires someone to manage and lead the actual change process.
There are many possible sources that drive change.
This can include new technology, as the advancements of technology requires organizations to keep up to date with new and faster technology, because this modern technology provides more efficient ways to communicate and work in a business, and in doing so, leads to gained productivity. So in order for a business to remain competitive or provide a service more effectively, large organizations have to make use of new, available modern technology.
Environmental issues are also a large concern to businesses. This is because society has a large concern for the condition of particularly the natural environment. An instance of this includes laws that require changes in production processes or in the goods produced. Also, if particular organizations have large concerns of the environment, it gains a positive public image due to organizational activities or structures.
Emphasis on ethics (corporate governance) is another issue that drives change. Corporate scandals over the many years have elevated the importance of ethics and corporate governance issues. Therefore all organizations are feeling this pressure, notable the ones in forms of new laws and regulations. So, businesses are driven to improve their standards of ethics and corporate governance with the aim of re-capturing...
