Information Technology Security Report
Security has a bad reputation for getting in the way of real business. The reputation has developed because of the way security professionals have practised.
Firstly according to Eric Cole, Ronald Krutz, And James W. Conley (2005) we should lay down the guidelines for securing information technology. The first step to implementation is to follow the guidelines set by The organisation for Economic cooperation and Development (OECD)guidelines for the security of information systems. The eight principles for information security are
• Computer security supports the mission of the organisation.
• Computer security is an integral element of sound management.
• Computer security should be cost effective.
• System owners have security responsibilities outside their own organisations.
• Computer security responsibilities and accountability should be made explicit.
• Computer security requires a comprehensive and a integrated approach.
• Computer security should be periodically reassessed.
• Computer security is constrained by societal factors.
Evaluation, Recommendations and Issues and challenges you will face when implementing the new technology
We have identified five business processes in your organization in general that are particularly vulnerable to IT security failures:
1. Data Theft
2. Web Security
3. Virus Attacks
4. E-mail Security
5. Server Security
6. Physical Security of the server

When information is illegally copied or taken from a business or other individual it is known as Data theft.
