Cinderella Today
Once upon a time, there was a rich man who lived happily for a long time with his wife. Together they had a single daughter. One day, the mother became ill and past away. The daughter had remembered all the talks that she had with her mother about having dignity and respect.
Her father will soon marry again. He married a woman who already had two daughters from a previous marriage. Immediately, the daughter felt uncomfortable and noticed the jealously. They moved in with them and the first change the stepmother made was moving the daughter out of her room. She put her in the smaller guest room.
Cinderella lost her room that had a sitting area and entertainment area. “What are you doing in this room, you don’t deserve that”, said the stepmother. Also, she gave some of her finest clothes to her own daughters.
Later, the wicked stepmother gave most of the chores to Cinderella. She had to wash clothes, clean-up after dinner, and take the trash out weekly. The step-daughters only chores were to keep their room clean, but the bullied Cinderella into doing it. Cinderella tried to tell her father, but he wouldn’t believe her.
Later in the school year, there is the annual prom. All the daughters are excited. The wicked stepmother told Cinderella that she couldn’t attend. The news broke her heart and she began to cry.
Cinderella had a pet hamster named Sam. Sam looked at Cinderella and spoke to her. “Why are crying?” “I want to go to the annual prom, but my stepmother will not let me.” Sam replied, “Don’t worry, I will take care of everything.”
The prom is fast approaching in a couple of days. The stepdaughters have already picked out their prom dresses and jewelry. Everyone in the house is excited, except Cinderella. She returns upstairs and talk to Sam again about the prom. Sam continues to tell Cinderella that he’ll take care of it and don’t worry.
