|SINOPSIS                   |:   |The course investigates the principal writers of the modernist movement and beyond.  Beginning with early     |
|                           |   |innovators such as Joseph Conrad, the course goes on to explore the works of radical modernist writers like   |
|                           |   |W.B. Yeats, James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, and Wyndham Lewis.  The survey considers the monumental impact of   |
|                           |   |immigrant American writers such as Ezra Pound and T.S. Eliot upon British Literature during this period.      |
