These quotations are very relevant to me, especially because I am a very expressive or kind of a talkative person. These reminded me that even how good or fancy I talk or say something, without backing it up with a clear action it is pointless. That is why it is better to just do more and talk less like the old saying tell us ‘Walk the talk’. Or the more I talk about something the more I should put a better effort in doing it. You would only prove a point if you back you words with definite and clear actions.
Crystal eulogizes Robin Williams: "He was the brightest star in the comedy galaxy" A tearful Billy Crystal toasted his longtime friend Robin Williams during the Emmys to cap off the show's "In Memoriam" segment. "He made us laugh hard, every time you saw him on television, movies, nightclubs, arenas, hospitals, homeless shelters, for our troops overseas and even in a dying girl's living room," Crystal said of Williams in a carefully measured tribute. "The brilliance was astounding. The relentless energy was kind of thrilling. I used to think if I could just put a saddle on him and stay on for eight seconds, I was going to do okay."
My body language was scored at a B, I feel she gave me a b because when asked about how to behave during an interview I realised I was slouching but that was the only thing I was doing to make her feel I was disinterested, other than that I was fully engaged in conversation and smiling. Another thing we were graded on was positive manner which I feel I was unfairly graded because she gave me a B however in the comments added ‘Kiah had a positive attitude’ I feel I was as positive as I could be apart from when I was asked what my weaknesses are I didn’t have an answer other than lazy which is a negative word so next time I could use a more
He was raised in an enthusiastic war family and graduated from West Point at the bottom of his class. His low grades and compilation of demerits earned him a spot in the infantry. While he was in this position, he was quite successful, and he was awarded many times during his service. Pickett was promoted many times during the Civil War, and he proved the fact that he was deserving of a high position and respect. Because of his courageous prerogative, Pickett had a huge impact on three crucial battles: The Battle of Chapultepec, Pickett’s Charge, and the Battle of Five Forks.
Pool served in the military from 1 to 2 years stationed in Vihn Long,South Vietnam. With his passion and talent he recieved 4 metals and became an E-4 (specialist Four). He has several surgeries on his back but eventually had to take a disability retirement. My grandparents moved to North Carolina to escape big city life to finish raising their family. Papaw thrived on excitement, and being "in" on the lastest rescue missions in the community really made his day. He joined the Center Pigeon Fire Department and became a first responder. Because of his back injuries he mostly did traffic control.
)- intolerable I needed the medicine because the pain from my broken leg was insufferable. 3. Fathom (v.)- comprehend I could not fathom the reasoning behind his irresponsible actions. 4. Therefore, the strategy of which him and his soldiers having a common trust did help them to win the war. Furthermore, this source has hindsight, something which the previous source greatly lacked in, and it is also well researched. However, because this is a textbook, it may be slightly exaggerated, and could be missing out on some of Haig’s failures in his strategies and tactics. Along with Haig’s tactics, there were also a number of weaknesses that came with them. For example, the artillery had to be silenced.
But as I viewed this story I got an understanding that prejudice can be based on an individual’s ability or disability. Everybody wasn’t bored to be normal but that doesn’t make then any different from anybody that is normal, because they are just as capable and success as the next person is. You must put yourself in other peoples’ shoes and treat them how you want to be treated because they have feelings just like you and everyone else. We are all humans it just that we were made differently. And despite how we were made it should be understood that we all should have an equal opportunity to live life normal and enjoy it without any
The cognitions I contemplate are that I am a thoughtful and smart person that makes good decisions, but I made a poor decision and I am lucky that I experienced minimal harm. I decided not to run on the streets because that run is dull and tedious, even though I knew it would have been a better choice and I could have avoided being attacked. However, in order to resolve the come-and-go dissonance I still feel at times, I emphasize that the trail route was the correct decision. I repeatedly try to accept my experience as a positive one and learn from the mistake I made. I turned the attack into a learning experience and have been able to protect my friends and myself from future traumatizing experiences like the one I encountered that day.
