The story begins when Alice, the main character buys a diary and writes her first entry. This girl was your average fifteen year old who is doing well in school and achieving good marks. Being an average teenager, she loved a boy named Roger. Everything changes when Roger rejected her.
Being rejected, she was very afraid of seeing him and fears being humiliated at school. This did not affect her life a lot; she was still your normal middle-upper class girl who has good relationships with her family. Everything was fine till new years, she had dinner with her family, and her mom had made her a dress.

Her dad got a new job somewhere else, and they decide to move. In the new environment and new school, everything is different. She couldn’t make friends and her marks were dropping. When she eventually made friends, they were all on drugs. Her relationship with her family became worst and worst. She even sold drugs to make a few bucks to buy them. Eventually she ran off to San Francisco with her friend Chris.
There, they found jobs, but still partied and used drugs. Time after time, she would try to give up on drug. But eventually, she will get back into it. And when she finally got off drugs, she tried to become a school guidance counselor and her relationship with her family became better.
