Rome and Juliet
(not fate)
Are Romeo and Juliet star-crossed lovers; fate being against them? Or was it just how they chose things to be? Romeo and Juliet belong in families that completely hated each other. The Montague’s and The Capulet’s. This fight has been going on for ages. Though the families may have completely hated one another, their children have a strong relationship of love for each other. When there was the Capulet’s ball, Romeo wasn’t originally invited but since the Capulet’s servant couldn’t read, he had as Romeo if he could read the invitations. If he could then he was invited. Romeo had a choice to go. And so that was when he and Juliet first met. Many believe that its fate, and that is what makes it a true love story. While others believe that Romeo and Juliet weren’t star-crossed lovers.
Romeo ‘s banishment was due to Tybalt’s death. It all started out with Mercutio and Tybalt having a small friendly fight, until Romeo came and though that they were causing trouble. Tybalt, Romeo and Mercutio got stuck in-between each other. Romeo got in the way and Tybalt stabbed Mercutio. It was an accident when Mercutio got stabbed. Tybalt and his crew ran off before they got in any more trouble. Romeo wasn’t sure whether Mercutio was kidding or not. When Romeo saw Mercutio’s cut, it was too late to act. He was dead. Romeo couldn’t forgive him for this. He wanted to fight back, for Mercutio. Romeo ran back to Tybalt and wanted to fight. Romeo gave him a good stab and Tybalt was dead. He couldn’t believe himself. Soon the town of Verona found out that two men were dead, one from the Montague’s family and one from the Capulet’s family. Arguments went to the street about who killed who. Both families went to the Prince to see what the
decision was, whether Romeo was to be killed or not. Romeo’s punishment was banishment. He only had a day to leave the city; if anyone were to see him again he...
