Gap Analysis: Global Communications
Global Communication is a communication company that is facing problems with diminishing stock. The stockholders have given the senior team the task of finding a solution to why the stocks are falling and what can be done to regain its position. The senior team realized that there was too much competition. With current increase in technology and services, Global Communication was not able to keep up. The senior team presented their idea of outsourcing to the stockholders. They were able to persuade the stockholders to accept their proposal by predicting a 40 percent reduction in handling cost. This of course, made the stockholders eager to move forward.
The senior team moved forward with their plan after given approval by the stockholders. The senior team failed to notify the Union during the planning stage and this caused some mistrust. The senior team did not want the plan to get out prior to getting the approval from the stockholders. There were several techniques that the team used in making their decisions and these techniques will be reviewed through the paper.
