Bipolar (Manic depression)
Bipolar also known as ‘Manic Depression’ disorder, is a illness that
cause sever mood swings. There are two sides to this disorder. One is the
Mania side. This side has two different parts to it, Mania and
Hypomanina. The other side is the sever depression side.

Mania is the most extreme one, the person may fell that they might
not need as much sleep. Sometimes the person feels that its hard to use
self control. The person may feel they have a lot of rage and irritability.
When some one is experience these feeling may take part in more riskier
actives. Then there is the Hypomanina side. This is the same behavioral
problems as Mania but less sever.

The other side to Bipolar is the depression side. The person may
have lack of motivation, hard time completion small simple task. They
may also have a short attention span, and feel a lot less confidante. The
person may also experience crying spells. They may have trouble
sleeping or they sleep to much. This depression like any other depression
can get so sever that someone could cause harm to them self or others.
A person with bipolar, they can all feel all these feelings at one.
This is known as a mixed state.

It has been known that a child with bipolar parents have a higher
risk of developing bipolar. Twins have a high concordance rate. Doctors
still are not sure if this disorder is just genetics. But it can pass down to
other generations. They still don’t know what can cause it. Chromosomes
possibly contribute to bipolar. If a parent does have bipolar it doesn’t
always mean that the child will develop it.

Bipolar is a treatable condition. Treatments for this disorder
involves medications that are known as mood stabilizers. Lithium
