I have chosen to research the psychological study of human behavior. Although human behavior is usually viewed in psychological terms, its origin is actually biological. Somewhere in the transition from a fetus to a child, psychological concepts dominate that of biological which has caused much controversy throughout the years. Behavioral “Genetics” did not appear until 1909 but the study of “heredity” itself has always existed. Human behavioral genetics, which is relatively a new field, seeks to understand both the environmental as well as the genetic contributions to individual variations in human behavior. I have found this topic to be rather interesting because it applies to my lifestyle. During my growth from an adolescent up until my college years I have struggled with behavioral problems. Whether it is towards authority or towards my fellow peers, behavior has always been an issue. My father although also has a tremendous behavioral issue. Is this an inherited trait or merely just an influence from my peers?
There are many research strategies that are used in behavioral genetics such as the study of twins in an adopted family and other similar techniques.

This experiment, however, came to a terrible conclusion when all the children died fairly quickly due to the fact that they could not survive without the bonding that is developed through language” (Kimble, 1993).
