To pursue these to career’s one must be very well educated. Both of the careers require post college schooling. Being a government official will require a lot of hard work. For this, career you must be a very trustworthy individual. The people who are voting for you want you to stick to the things you promised. Although sometimes however you have to defend liars. Being a lawyer is a reasonable yet satisfying career to pursue. A lawyer must be very organized and a very quick thinker. A lawyer is a better profession to pursue than a government official because all of the lies and corruption that goes along with being an elected official is ridiculous.
The schooling required to be a government official could be a turn off to some people. You must have graduated from high school and you must have a four year college degree. It is also recommended that you attend law school (Career Profile 4). It seems like you have to come from a pretty rich family to pursue this career with all of the schooling it requires. Although it requires a lot of schooling the salary for this job is a big turn on to pursue this career.
