My Birthday in Skateland
I remember that day like it was yesterday. It was a hot Spring afternoon. My mom, grandma, and I were in the hot shining sun in line waiting to get in.
The line was huge there was like twenty families waiting to get in to our reserved tables. It took like ten minutes for us to get in.
As we started walking through the door you could smell pizza in the darkness. You could also see the skating rink, the black lights, people lots and lots of people, the joy on their faces, and the laughter. Most of those joyful people were on the skating rink. They were dancing while skating to the rythem of the music.
When we got to the tables there were a few of are guests. They greeted us with such happiness. We all sat down and talked for awhile while we waited for the others to arrive. When they got here we talked for awhile. We relaxed and enjoyed. We also ate pizza and drinks. I ate like two slices of cheesse pizza and a white cherry and blue raspberry ice. It was very tasty.
After the food was down it was time to skate. Everybody who was going to skate came with me and my mom. We all went to the counter lady to get are skates. She just asked us for our shoe size asked us to sign and gave us the skates. After everybody had his or her skates on we went to the rink. When I started to skate I started on the edge of the rink for about three times around the rink. Then I felt a little more confident. That’s when I asked my cousin Janisha if she could help me roller skate without holding on to the rim, but holding my hand she agreed so we went for about three times around holding hands. When I felt even more confident enough to skate alone I said I’m ready! I went around three times without any problems at all until one time I just BLOP! Next thing you know I was on the floor. I quickly got up. Skated to the lounge were my mom was and cried. Until I thought that’s enough I don’t want to cry.
From all that happened to me and after I...
