IMMIGRATION

The American Heritage Dictionary states that immigration is to enter and settle in a country or region to which one is not native. Immigration has an affect on all countries. There are many problems associated with immigration. The problems are political, ethical, legal and economic to name a few of them. This is a very complex problem occurring around the world.
In the United States, “there are eight million illegal immigrants”. That is a very big problem because “every year almost five hundred-thousand illegal immigrants come to the United States for different reasons”1. There is a huge debate about what we should do with the illegal immigrants in the United States today. For example, should we put up fences? Should we have more border patrols? How are we going to step this so it does not get more out of control that it is already? There are many reasons why we have illegal immigrants around the world, also.
People immigrate for a better way of life. There may be a war going on and they want to get out of it or out of the way. They want to have a better life for themselves and possibly their children. There may be political problems or different laws that they refuse to follow. The economic problems of being poor might change where they would like to live. Religious and ethnic persecution is another reason why people around the world immigrate illegally and legally.

Sometimes while immigrating illegally, everyone does not always make it. They are the victims of immigration.
