The great enlightenment writer Jean-Jacques Rousseau once said, “Man is born free; and everywhere he is in chains”. Government systems like democracy create too many binds that limit the freedoms of the citizens. Democracy is based off of too many complex processes that are unfair, wasteful, and corrupt. Democracy is trying to be forced down other regions’ throats in order to create a “safe” world. In a democracy, in order to live an average life, one must be hardworking and have a certain amount of intelligence. These limitations do not make democracy more free, but suppress the citizens into a world of stereotypes, hypocrites, and politicians. Democracy must have more unlimited freedom in order to be considered democratic.
Democracy is founded upon a wasteful form of government. Everyday in America, people litter, satiate their hunger, scrap unused materials, throwaway uneaten or unfinished food, waste energy, and waste natural resources. Anything can be used more than once before it should be considered unusable trash. That hamburger someone doesn’t finish shouldn’t be thrown away, keep it for later. That food in the back of the fridge has been there a week, it shouldn’t have even been there for a week to go bad. Diamonds are also a very good example. A diamond is a very beautiful stone that is known for ranging in price due to clarity, color, size, etc. How many times does a rapper or movie star buy that huge, perfectly glowing diamond for a few hundred thousand dollars? They all have them. Diamonds are also the world’s hardest substance making them very useful in cutting tools. That diamond the celebrity just bought could have made hundreds of saw blades or operating knives. Being wasteful makes America a terrible country.
