Task 4 Giving feedback to a learner 750 words

I have worked with this particular learner for some time. He has severe learning disabilities and I knew that I would have to use simple language and give lots of praise, in order for him to understand. I decided that I would chat to each individual in the group, near the end of the session, whilst I worked with them on the computer. The rest of the group were at the table participating in another activity.
I began by asking him how he felt he was getting on in the signing session. He said that he was enjoying it. I asked if he had learnt many signs, he showed me two that he remembered.
I then told him that I thought he was doing really well. That his signing was getting better each week. He was very happy with this. We talked about the different signs that we had covered over the past 4 weeks and he said that he liked doing the signs for food the best.
I told him that by the end of the 6 weeks, we would have learnt 141 different signs. He was pleased with that. I said that he could have a certificate for his hard work at the end of the Quiz session, which was in 2 weeks time. He rubbed his hands together which is something he does when he is happy. I said that everyone would get a certificate. I asked him if he got along with the other students in the group. He said he did. I told him that he had improved on his computer skills too. In the first week, he needed hand over hand support to use the mouse. Now he can click the mouse most of the time by himself. He said he liked using the computer. I asked him if he liked taking the signs home to practice. He said he did. He shows the staff at the house. From the students responses he seemed very pleased when I told him how well he was doing.
I told the student that I am going to cut down on how many signs we do each lesson, as I think I have been making them all work too hard! He laughed. It is difficult for this group of...
