George W. Bush: US Elections

It all Started in 2001 after he beat the democrat nominee, Al Gore. 20th centaury seemed a good start with a man who Cited ‘Christ’, for He changed his heart, in an inquiry of televised Republican Presidential Debate in Des Moines, Iowa on December 13, 1999, where he was asked about "What political philosopher or thinker do you most identify with and why?" Bush’s appeal to religious values brought him 56% of votes in a Gallup poll from those who said they “attend church weekly” in 2000 and
64% in 2004. Bush expressed himself as “compassionate conservative” and promised to bring back honor and dignity to the White House. Bush
outlined an agenda that included a firm commitment to war in Iraq and Afghanistan, renewal of USA PATRIOT act, making earlier tax cuts permanent, and creation of an ownership society for his second turn of presidential nomination. In 2004, Bush’s campaign advertized against democrats who attacked him for the war in Iraq. The democrat nominee, John Kerry, portrayed Bush’s failure in Economy and Job growth and Bush claimed Kerry lack the vision necessary for the war on terrorism. All could not stop the Republic nominee and George W. Bush was re-elected for his second turn in office by the year 2005.

Internal Policy of Failure

An overlook to bush’s administration in his 8 years of presidency brings out evident results of political failure in economy, education, health care, social service and security, environment and global warming. Starting in 2001, he set meetings across the county to raise national support for his US$1.35 trillion plan on tax cut program —one of the largest tax cuts in the history of the United States. Bush argued that such a tax cut would create jobs by stimulating the economy; however, unemployment rose from 4.2% to 6.3% from January 2001 to June 2003, dropped by 1.8% as of July 2007.
