The career path I am most interested in is radiology. I am most interested in becoming a radiologist because when my sister had her first baby I went with her to get an ultrasound and ever sense then I wanted to look at peoples organs and babies. When went to the health career fieldtrip I saw and got to perform a live ultrasound on a woman who was having twins that’s one thing that got me interested in radiology. Other things were the joy on peoples faces when they see what’s inside of them.
A radiologist , is someone who is a specialized physician who can perform basic imaging functions such as x-rays or ultrasounds or there is the technologist side of who are specially trained to perform specific imaging techniques and are certified the American Registry of Radio logic Technologist or another registry. They work under the direction and supervision of the radiologist.
Being a radiologist you should have a great heart and really want to help people. You should be bright and be hard working. You should have good handwriting and verbal skills and be a good reader that also has a good memory.
Some of the day to day things that radiologist will do is x-rays, ultrasounds, radiation for cancer or shrinking tumors. There hours are long mostly in the evenings or on weekends they may also be on call witch means they work when in need. They mostly work between 40 and 60 hours per week but there mostly part time workers. There is much room for advancement in this industry.
The preparations for a radiologist is you must successfully complete an educational program such as a university of medicine and dentistry...
