In recent years the word Globalisation its been said numerous times, it is an issue of todays world dilemma but not a new thing, it is the consequence of many years of exchanging technology, increasing access to the world information and circulation of products and cultural goods.
It is been said that economics and culture hold a relation that cannot be disentangled, a connection through which globalization is empowering from. Therefore global culture is not a separate or isolated topic, it is intrinsicaly related to other areas for so many reasons. Everyday globalization reaches a new corner in the world, and while its effects are not able to be measure, there has been made several approaches to the subject.

Two examples of texts that treat the global culture in different manners are UN “World Youth Report” (2003) and Jeffrey Jensen Arnett “The Psychology of Globalization in American Psychologist” (2002). In his article Arnett analyse the psychological layers of the matter, specifically he focuses in the adolescent ages, arguing that they are the ones with a stronger relation to globalization, throughout his text, plenty examples of the world young community intent to illustrate the fact that global culture as a homogenized culture is centuries away to take place, and actually his vision differs from it, his approach is a more positive one, it celebrate the differences and provide hope for the persons who feels casted out. In contrast the UN report describes the situation of the global culture as a local culture eraser, that intends to homogenize the world, and presents the global media as a method for acquire domain and power, it is mentionable that the UN’s text focus on the economical and cultural aspects of the phenomenon.
